Infection Control Procedures We wear protective gloves, masks and eyewear.   We change gloves and wash our hands between patients.   We disinfect treatment rooms after each patient. The chairs, units and countertops are treated with bacteria-killing solution.   We use disposable instruments and supplies whenever possible.   All other instruments, including hand pieces, are sterilized with pressurized steam (autoclaving) after each patient. Our autoclave is routinely tested for  effectiveness.
